Intentional or not, this song really sums up the general mood of the UK over the past few months. We’ve all been (or the vast majority of us have been) alone in our own rooms, just wanting someone else to speak to.
This song does that superbly. A plaintive lament, superbly sung and played with fantastic delicacy. And the lyrics are superb as well. A superbly simple song for superbly complicated times.
