Sounds and a scary, quiet, mystical atmosphere swoop slowly and swirl around you, guiding you and tempting you gently into the disc. You may (justifiably) be a little scared and apprehensive at first but these initial fears will soon be replaced by a feeling of quiet awe, a little like Alice the first time she stepped through the Looking Glass and into Wonderland.
Lone melancholic synth riffs seeps slowly out, beckoning you in sadness and temptation. A slow, pulsating bass is ominous at all times in the background with recreations of horns and string instruments laying themselves bare over the top. The vocals are distant and alluring, a bit like Murmur-era R.E.M cut through with Apollo 440 and a touch of early Leftfield sprinkled over the top.
To sum up then, this disc is like a sonic cross between chill out and nightmare, with you, dear listener, caught thrillingly in the crossfire.
