Meant to review this a while ago, in fact it may have been released in late 2017, but Liverpool’s Annexe The Moon have a catchy, sly and groovy little tune here. They have released a few singles and EPs since 2016 and this is the cream of the crop IMO.

Yes, you can see a few similarities to early Pink Floyd and late-era Beatles but there’s nothing wrong with that. A couple of bleeps to start off with, then we get full into the organ-led main riff. It is unashamedly retro but with a melody like this it still stands out. Mid-tempo, harmonies, this could well be from a lost Austin Powers soundtrack…
