This is what The Black Album rewritten by Nirvana and Soren Kierkegaard would sound like. The riffs burn deep, the percussion section is in a permanent rush and the lead singer screams as though he wants to rip his vocal chords out and start whipping you with them.
Beneath the rage and riffs, there are the most beautiful and subtle chord changes. You’ll play this album again to hear things you missed the last time.
This is very dark and heavy pop music from a very dark and heavy place – the heart.
Some songs sound like outtakes from Nirvana’s In Utero album – they have that same anger and wish to wake the world up with their anger. Surely, given what’s happening in the world these days, that can only be a good thing? These guys sound like they are actually having fun whilst expressing themselves. They’re young, they’re wild, they’re angry and they don’t give a damn. Maybe more bands should take their lead.
