This is the band’s second release. The fresh blood of funk runs through this disc, from the hyperactive breakbeats, to raunchy guitars that cut through every so often. These are all complemented by some tasteful scratching, which creates a satisfying edginess to the proceedings. Guitars gel proceedings together very nicely, their roughness adding a very welcome raunch factor and these funk lines running well into the allover sound. This disc fits very nicely into the mould of dance-rock. One minute, these guys want to be Moby, the next, Guns’n’Roses. This jumping around means the sound is a bit too frothy at times, verging on insubstantial, even, but this is pleasant enough disco fodder, with enough heart to bear repeated listening to at home also.
