Some artists age gracefully, while others wither on the vine, die slowly and get praised for past works and the fact that they’re still with us. Thankfully, Marc Almond belongs to the former camp, as is evinced here, on his collaboration with St. Etienne’s Sarah Cracknell, each egging the other on to outdo them with vocal theatrics, not a hint of bandwaggon-jumping present on either side and all sped along by a good, clean pop tune with a good groove behind it and no clutter laid in its’ path by a tight production.
