Liar Liar boast that, with this, their debut disc (or download, if you prefer), they have produced a mix of Blink 182 and You Me At Six. They’ve arguably succeeded and, while this disc certainly holds promise, they’ve shown their love for their heroes as listed above at the expense of letting their own voice shine through enough.
Blazing, glam-infused riffs and gut wrenching jackhammer drum beats terrorise your stereo speakers right from the get-go and the initial effect, at least, is electrifying. The main reasons to buy this disc, then, are tracks like ‘It Doesn’t Take A Hero’ and ‘Heart Attack’. Tracks like these fizz, hiss and pop like all good singles should.
