A jumble of the vivacious late 80’s euro-pop of Erasure and Simple Minds mixed with the slightly more sober and conscious music of INXS, Transaudio are a strange creation. Both tracks here evoke different feelings of “I’ve heard that before”, but they always manage to steer clear of blatant plagiarism. ‘Dying Star’ is the more mainstream offering, with the band going a bit synth happy during follow-up ‘Frequencies’. Frankly, it’s difficult to pin this down to any sound-alike, and for its individuality alone it’s definitely worth a listen.
