The Brassholes have quickly made their name as one of Scotland’s finest funk/soul collectives, tearing it up at multiple live gigs last year with an all-out brass assault.
Now they return with more soulful and thoughtful ‘Caveman’ (which has some resonances of Amy Winehouse) along with a more typical upbeat track ‘Battle Weapons’, a ten plus minute funk stormer (where everyone gets a workout and a solo) and the first of several such releases before another live gig at Glasgow Drygate in March.
BM suspects 2020 could be the year when The Brassholes break really big and she is not the only one predicting this – get up offa that hing!
