Multi-instrumentalist, serial band member and person of supreme and understated talents, Susan Bear’s latest release is another track of rave-drenched 8-bit disco following ‘It’s You’ the other month (Lost Map are dropping heavy hints there’s probably an entire album of this stuff in the can, in which case huzza for that!).
There’s a very retro to feel to it, with the definite use of quite primitive equipment and a cheesy sample or two, but it certainly rocks and is another breath of fresh air among the earnest indie strivers who often flood the market at the start of another year (BM expects a few more “my lockdown album” press releases in the next few months).
Rave on Susan!
