What is it they say about too much of a good thing? This debut EP squeezes six mayhem-filled salvos into 15 thrilling minutes. Labelling themselves as hardcode / emo, the four piece are firmly entrenched in the Shellac / Macrocosmica / Mclusky furrow, where sonics shift as much as rhythms jerk and spasm, but hooks and choruses still abound. Opening salvo ‘Glass’ sets out their stall, as uncompromising a two minutes as you’ll find in the next 12 months. Meanwhile, on ‘Tracing Paper’ you can practically smell the moshpit – for a band who are undoubtedly a live animal the recording captures the sound of what is surely a must-see act for 2016.
