Who would have thought it could come to this – but some of our favourite artists are showing new layers of creativeness and just general niceness…
Tonight, Siobhan Wilson does her second livestream, and despite the clunky tech (to be expected, it is in her flat) her unique voice and talent shines through, with solo piano track ‘Plastic Grave’ first up… This sound, coming through the ether, via wires and boxes and electronic waves, is still a good sound, a great sound, and although it reminds anyone know has witnessed SW live how good she is, maybe it will bring in new listeners as well.
‘Whatever Helps’ is another highlight, not usually done on the piano – but it sounds great, a song of being a bit down and picking yourself up. The chords are a wee bit shaky but again SW’s voice lifts us up out of the Covid doldrums. A great piece of work and though we all itch to see this kind of stuff in the flesh, well it just ain’t possible, so this is the next best thing.
