The phrase ‘supergroup’ can get bandied around too easily these days, but if the dictionary was illustrated this lot would have their faces right next to that particular tag. Graham Coxon and Paul Weller take centre stage, ably supported by Mani, ex of the Stone Roses, and current Oasis skin beater Zak Starkey. However, despite this multitude of talent, the track doesn’t really ignite as you would expect. It isn’t terrible, but a rather more introspective effort than the punk background of the group would suggest. More akin to Weller’s recent solo work rather than the fiery riffs of Coxon. Not bad, but a case of what could have been.
