Seemingly without his Validators for this outing, M J Hibbett instead strums up a storm on his trusty Ukelele with able support from a handful of percussion instruments, a little bit of guitar and a drummachine. The smell of 80’s school music rooms is almost impossible to escape as Mark explores numerous upbeat themes such as HTML programming, weaving the perfect rainbow, the joys of the Dolphin Fish Bar, and gigs in New York when everyone is busy celebrating Thanksgiving.
One thing I do have to take Mr Hibbett to task over is his description of Birmingham New Street Station as ‘Hell On Earth’. As Birmingham is (whether I like it or not) my current home, I spent a year using New Street twice a day and it’s nowhere near ‘Hell On Earth’, granted it’s rather dowdy and desperately in need of an overhaul, but it in no way ‘dank and ghastly’!
Still, can’t have it all, maybe take the bus next time Mark?
