A slice of life pop single from Inverness, a singalong anthemic chorus of “we’re all drinking in the city” complete with a big filled out guitar sound. – on its own probably a sincere and competent enough stab at radio friendly summer sing along: sincere because I imagine this band would have been in primary school when so called Brit Pop was at its height. This single screams out for many lazy comparisons (okay, it sounds like Oasis), but in fairness no band has a monopoly on chord structures and catchy vocals. Perhaps the most crucial things missing are the band’s own energy, and more importantly, identity on the songs on offer.
