There is still, in this fragmented world of disjointed music tribes, a place for the Rock.
Hunter and the Bear are one of the contenders. There are a few beards, some rock hair and a whole loada riffs. There is also a steaming Bon Jovi-esque via Biffy chorus, which may be anathema to some people but Betty tries to serve all audiences.
So while it does not ping all her buttons (missus), this single from “The Bear”‘s debut album is very balls on the floor, a calling card if you will, the sound of rutting stags… Lyrics include “You heard me on the radio” – not Terry Wogan, then, cuz he is deed but some other DJ, Big Galoot or Regal possibly! (hatemail starts now…)
Just on the right side of that Nickleback red line, these guys are in it for the duration and the track clocks in at less than 2 mins, a brief splurge of testosterone – respect due.
