From deepest darkest Yorkshire this lot have been causing a bit of a stir recently with their Fat White Family meets the Djangos guitar rumpus.
This is their latest single and it fairly bowls along, lots of heavy guitar and feedback, then a snotty echoed vocal spitting about “Porcelain jars”. They sound very much like the next indie guitar heroes, with some guitar solo, a bit fret-scraping there.
It is essentially a blues number though, under all that, but none the worse for it. Some good backing “Woos” across the chorus and a nice middle eight which emphasises the twangy landscape. Building up again to the repeated chorus, more guitars and some “oh yeahs”… then an abrupt bass stop.
Rock and roll in 2018, sounding healthy!
