Formed just over a year ago, the maturity of Stirling’s Miniature Dinosaurs can be a bit frightening. The songs on ‘Chatterbox’ are polished up-tempo pop numbers that almost routinely boast big, powerful choruses and hooks with an abundance of indie credibility.
The comparisons to The Killers and David Bowie are inevitable but they still manage to present something unique to themselves, and they’re funny, too: at one point breaking into an impromptu rendition of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ mid-song. That sort of self-awareness makes them hard to dislike.
