Wyatt back onstage

Prog legend Robert Wyatt has sung onstage for the first time in 25 years, appearing for a version of Thelonious Monk’s ‘Round Midnight’ at a gig by The Dylan Howe Quintet in Lincoln.
It’s uncertain if any more live appearances are on the cards from the former Soft Machine drummer, even with an album, Comicopera, due in October. However, Wyatt may work with Howe – son of Yes guityarist Steve – on ‘The Subterraneans’ – an experimental jazz version of David Bowie’s Heroes and Low albums.

Wyatt’s record label have created a minisite to go with the new album
