This is a jaunty wee ditty about misspent youth… with chiming guitars, a great bass intro and all the things you want in a summery pop single.
Released on the mighty Scottish Fiction records, this is The Bear’s latest single. There are further instrumental flourishes of keyboards and a great chorus, and maybe a few messages about life lessons and getting older.
The catchiness ramps up with some clapping and clicking before we into the gorgeous instrumental middle eight – the sound of maybe not so young but better grounded younger Scotchland, a bit nostalgic and looking back a bit – a great pop song that recalls Orange Juice at their best, and that is some comparison!
