This is the debut release from this Swindon quintet and it showcases their obvious keenness and boisterous energy beautifully. They’ve also found and are carefully nurturing their own voice on record and while not quite there yet, evidence of aim and ambition are coming through loud and clear, not least in the way that the vocals gel beautifully with the swampy melodies that have been placed underneath.
Influences kind of swim about here but, for some reason, are hard to pin down. Not that it really matters, because you, dear listener, will be too busy enjoying this unwholesome, glorious noise of a disc, to worry about where you have heard all these things before.
