Musical revolutions often come from the most unlikely of places. I mean, who would have thought that four lads from Liverpool would change the world? And one of them was called Ringo! Granted, the land of the maple leaf did give us Celine Dion, but its now making up for that heinous crime with some aplomb. This compilation gathers together some of the best of the new crop of Canadian talent, and acts as a tremendous show of force by the beaver bashers. Lesser known acts such as DJ Champion (with the atheist gospel of No Heaven’) mix shoulders with more established art-rockers such as You Say Party! We Say Die! Long the butt of humour in the United States, it looks as though the yanks will struggle to laugh this little lot off.
