This is a retrospective of the career of Motherwell outfit The Plimptons. 19 tracks from a 13 year career, the band called it a day in March with a day long “farewell party” at Glasgow’s Stereo.
Punky, poppy, with irreverant and eccentric lyrics, they ploughed a singular furrow through the underground music scene of the noughties, never quite getting the success or recognition they might have deserved. This is definitely worth a listen and is a testament to doing it your own way.
