All a tres-moderne blur of Joy Division and Bloc Party, this has a much rougher edge, an insistent guitar line battling to avoid being submerged by the thudding bass, or out-shouted by the singer. Credit then, for the very different ‘Don’t Rely on Me’ on the B-side, a slow grinding tune whose slacker feel means that reaching the climax that it threatens is inevitable but still a tense ride.
