This track weaves something magical from fairly ordinary elements.
There is a fizzing energy as lead singer Bea dissects a failed relationship via records and photos. From Leeds and bubbling under the mainstream it cannot be long before this lot get wider recognition.
There is also a pedigree in the production (Lee Smith – Cribs, Pulled Apart by Horses and Jamie Lockhart – Post War Glamour Girls). There are some parallels with recent BM interviewees Vital Idles and possible Modern Studies but let this stand for itself.
There is snappy guitar riffing, a nice keyboard line and then it just explodes into a lovely chorus… “Nothing wrong with picking out my favourite albums…” Nuff said!
