It’s not often that the opening of an online store is cause for fanfare, but this may be the exception.
Sub Pop, the legendary label who are the reason you know about Nirvana, Mudhoney, Soundgarden, and TAD have launched their first UK and EU marketplace. This means shipping from a UK-based warehouse rather than flying your records halfway across the world at your expense.
To go with that, Sub Pop are reissuing some releases that you may be very interested in…
First up is a 20th anniversary remastered reissue of The Shins’ 2003 acclaimed album ‘Chutes Too Narrow’ which comes complete with custom die cut artwork and a limited-edition Transparent Sun Yellow variant. September 8th brings us The Vaselines ‘The Way of the Vaselines’ for the first time ever on vinyl in its original form and a first-time vinyl pressing of the Postal Service’s Everything Will Change live album. October 6th is going to see the release of Mudhoney’s ‘Superfuzz Bigmuff’ and the ‘Touch Me, I’m Sick’ 7 inch – both with their own limited variants.
Other artists on the roster include Sunny Day Real Estate, The Murder City Devils, The Shins, Iron and Wine, The Postal Service, Band of Horses, Flight of the Conchords, Fleet Foxes, Sleater-Kinney, Beach House, Washed Out, Shabazz Palaces, The Head and the Heart, Weyes Blood, Clipping, Suki Waterhouse and Father John Misty.
Definitely worth keeping an eye on for the vinyl collection and the occasional classic t shirt design.
