At Glasgow’s legendary Barrowland venue, Young Fathers were voted as makers of the best album of 2013 for their ‘Tape 2’ long-player. They beat off competition from the likes of Biffy Clyro, Edwyn Collins and Chvrches, who were all present to receive their cheques for £1,000 – the winners walking away with the top £20,000 award.
itm? photographer Andrew McKenna was on hand to document the event, which included live sets from last year’s winner RM Hubbert, up-and-coming urban act (and management stablemate of the winners) LAW, drumming group Issho Taiko, and Alarm Bells (who include former members of Dananananaykroyd)
