This track is absolutely beautiful.
The words are incredibly impactful and reveal a writer who is incredibly astute in his perceptions – Simon Toulson-Clarke, who led the band in their first mid-80s incarnation and had two Top 10 hits in ‘Lean On Me’ and ‘For America’.
Toulson-Clarke has a soft billowy tone that reminds one of a foghorn being muted by a towel; but in a good way. The instrumentation is incredibly complementary in that their speed is very vividly reminding you of the upbeat nature of the track.
It was truly enjoyable and something to listen to again and again and again. I believe Red Box have a strong musical future which could match their past success.
