Releasing a single each month on the 15th, NuBorg is the music project of Norwegian artist Gunhild Nyborg. With the full album due in the summer, once all the singles have been released one by one, this innovative drip-feed of material is starting to gather momentum.
And it’s no surprise given the quality of her work. The latest single, ‘Sliding Off the Edge of the World’, is beautiful and gentle but with a dark, haunting undertone. Reminiscent of Kate Bush, it’s accessible but unusual, and holds a fantastic vocal performance from Nyborg.
With a number of high profile collaborators working on this project with her, NuBorg’s star has a great potential to rise as the album release date gets nearer. And based on this track, Gunhild Nyborg deserves any success she is able to get.
