Lebanese born Nadine Khouri has spent the past few years exploring the streets of East London,
writing songs and experimenting with sound. The 5 tracks on this EP are sumptuously produced for a bedroom recording; swathed in thick layers of sound as various instruments float around her cooing voice. Unfortunately what might have been cerebral sits so still it melts into a dirge or worse. The enticing drone of ‘The Blue of Princes’ dashes your hopes by breaking into a chest beating RAWK song. Ms Khouri has some interesting ideas but needs to mix things up a little bit lest she sends herself to sleep.
