Edinburgh’s Mt Doubt have gifted us a lot of great tracks the last few years and this latest is right up there. Leo’s amazing voice rises above some quite complex instrumentation to give us wonderful verse and chorus here, with twangy guitars to start off.
The “caravans” are acutely mapped by the guitar lines and then they become part of the chorus, (could this be possible under current times, maybe this is the point?) – anyway, the gorgeous harmonies and eventual chorus rise up after some spoken word – and what a chorus it is – this could be Mt. Doubt’s best yet.
