Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio this fresh 3-piece brings together tongue-in-cheek gospel preaching with a roaring drum attack and a twin bass guitar. Think The Melvins combined with Queens of the Stone Age.
Megachurch seem dissatisfied with modern culture, but what we get in return are moments of sardonic brilliance like ‘Speaking in Tongues’, for instance or the rather brilliant ‘My Father’s Dignity’. And it’s this nonconformist, anything-goes approach, that makes this album so charming and the album artwork is pretty cool to boot.
