Nothin' New (lylo)

By • Dec 28th, 2018 • Category: Single review

Glasgow band Lylo are creating a bit of a stir with energetic live shows and this new track should continue to propel their rise.

It is funky, in your face and quick of tempo, coming across like a fusion of The Pop Group with ‘Would Beez’-era Scritti Politti (yep really).

Featuring some fearsome sax, thudding bassline and thrusting stop start chorus, it looks fairly sure to make a mark, and deservedly so.

There is (was – sorry, Ed) a single launch date at The Rumshack in Glasgow on December 8th and BM recommends that serious funksters should attend, and bring their dancing shoes.

*(Catch them instead at the Freakender at Sleazy’s on January 23rd)
