There’s something quite pure about this record, not something one finds oneself saying about all releases which pass between these ears.
There’s a fierceness and hunger about this disc which makes it immediately appealing and makes you want to know where this guy has come from and what else they have to offer. Lethal Bizzle now has two albums under his belt and so now also have a confidence and assurance in his sound. This is both a continuation of and a development from the sound he’s have perfected over these two albums.
While many hard rock bands get a ‘sudden’ and depressing desire to ‘expand their palette’ (or, in other words, go up their own backsides and alienate their audience), Lethal Bizzle has stuck to what he’s good at here – short, sharp and beautiful pop – and it’s wonderful.
