Le Fil is a name which has been popping up a lot recently within my network. I have seen so many talking about his new track ‘Undercover Lover’ that I knew I had to get my ears around it too. Wow, I am glad I did.
It is a track which has a good pop foundation. Also, you do not need to search far to find that Pop is flowing through the veins of the Yorkshire-based singer. It is a thumper. It has a dancey vibe which will make it a great addition to any party playlist post lockdown. Also, he speaks with passion, and his vocal delivery is in flying form.
Having done my homework, it appears that he is thriving after being selected for a support slot on Mel C’s Down Under tour. Although it is not difficult to figure out why – he, furthermore, he has a strong character, it is often the case for big personalities to rise quickly to stardom and Le Fil is following suit from similar artists of yesteryear. His personality fits his sound like a glove. It is flamboyant, out there and there is no way of it anyone holding him or his music back. He has a distinctive style which makes for an unforgettable, unique selling point.
Overall, I am enjoying the new release from Le Fil, I do think it could have been polished a little more with a bit more oomph within the rhythm sections, but it is still groovy. It also makes you want to get your jacket on and head straight to the latest club. It is powerful. Also, I am unsure of another name doing anything similar – therefore, hats off to Le Fil for sticking to originality.
