The strange thing about this track is how conservative it is – Larsen is at the more experimental edge of art-and-space rock and yet Sinatra’s chestnut is, for the most part, intact in terms of melody and structure. More interesting by far is the B-side, ‘Annie’s Rap’ in which Larsen passes the mic to punk-poetry legend Annie Anxiety Bandez. It’s a story song with a nice Ryan Trecartin-esque element. Frantic but somehow with enough momentum to carry the day.
