Edinburgh-based Kohla has been making music off and on for a wee while and this is her latest track.
Starting with delicate, minimalist electro-tinged instrumentation, it rolls into a slinky r&b tinged banger complete with a piano-backed chorus. It definitely hits the mark, a kind of FKA Twigs meets All Saints, if you will.
Overdubbed backing vocals, lots of oohs and aahhs in the middle eight, and then we are back to more chorus before a fade a just over three minutes.
Recommended for all you young lovers out there, and older ones as well – the ghost of Prince haunts present day Edinburgh!
