Language of a Lady (Faculty)

By • Aug 27th, 2007 • Category: Single review

Debut from this bunch of Brighton lads is accomplished indie-pop in the vein of the Kaisers, the Monkeys etc. Is anyone else tired of that sound? Sure, this is a well crafted melody, and the guitarist puts all six of those strings to use but something’s missing. The far rockier b-side – Saturday Night – points to a Queens of the Stone Age influence, and perhaps a few new ingredients to the mix. But, alas, there’s not much here to keep you awake at night.
