An acoustic EP from a New Zealander now based in Glasgow; this is perfectly pleasant, Jeremy strumming away.
The tunes are pastoral, a bit dark a places, an the lyrics are interesting, if a bit introspective. Lead track ‘Fly Along with the Ghosts’ is mid-paced, but doesn’t really go anywhere beyond some inconclusive chords. The second track ‘Living Blind’ is a bit more meaty, with thoughts of “behind the thin line” etc but again is not very well-developed, with no real middle eight or chorus. After more pointless strumming on the third track, the last one ‘Exit Song’ is not a Radiohead cover (despite similar title) but a lament for the things you won’t do, and won’t know – it could sound profound played in the backroom of some pub, but as a taster for a forthcoming album, he needs to do a bit better than this – he may have the potential to do better though…
