Newcastle-based quintet Headclouds have recently made a big splash on North-East England’s music scene with their gorgeous blend of pure pop melodies and 90s indie-noise, sounding somewhat like an alternative universe My Bloody Valentine if Teenage Fanclub’s Gerry Love had replaced Kevin Shields as chief songwriter.
‘Marmalade’ dials down the noise element and majors on irresistible melodic hooks worthy of Pale Fountains. This band are going to be huge.
