Hot off the t’internet, Goliath’s new single is a subtle and sincere melody which starts as simple voice and maybe banjo (! – or maybe just an acoustic), it meanders through some almost ghostly verses before the title refrain emerges – is it meant to bring people together or accentuate their personal isolation?
That is probably for the listener to decide, but the delicate nature of the first sections are very beautiful before a more strident tone develops – there is organ/keyboard there again before it erupts into a kind of warped waltz with at least some percussion and more fevered strumming – this artist is truly someone who is lost in music, and deserves more exposure, nearest reference might possibly be Bon Iver but BM is not that familiar with BI’s stuff – no biographical details but BM believes that Goliath is based in Scotland – lookout for any live shows folks as this could be a hit!
