Taken from their second album, Black Earth Tiger, this is a great single from this Kentucky post-hardcore band. With chugging guitar and a big, shiny chorus catchy enough to make Cobain proud, this song demands to be played on repeat. Cottonmouth’s appeal is instant. It contains a healthy mixture of angst, pain and yearning to satisfy your average teen emo, whilst still being a thrashing, almost pop-like tune to appeal to the ‘normos’. Great stuff.
