Lauded Danish act Efterklang are due in Glasgow on 30th October and are a live force to be reckoned with.
The show, promoted by Rooftop Movement, is part of a European tour which coincides with the release of a new and live interpretation of their last album, Parades.
This special release is the band’s most ambitious project yet, comprising of both audio and visuals from Efterklang’s performance of their 2007 release from start to finish in new arrangements. The entire album was recorded with the Danish National Chamber Orchestra at Copenhagen’s Koncerthuset in September 2008.
Sadly the orchestra will not be in attendance (!), but the show will open with a set by fellow Leaf Label artist, Nancy Elizabeth. The Wigan born, Manchester based performer creates inspiring atmospheric folk music and has collaborated with Fence’s James Yorkston.
