From Birkenhead via France, this Glasgow-based producer apparently runs a vintage recording studio in the city.
And there is something very much of a bygone era about this latest single despite the ‘Digital’ part of his moniker.
Indeed, it’s a “sumo”-sized sound he generates with his presumably analogue equipment – like if Marc Bolan had started off in the ’80s, its basic-but-catchy riff driven by heavily-distorted vocals and guitar and a pounding beat.
Glam-electro-punk, perhaps, but maybe “digitalsumo” works just as well.
