Connor Fyfe

Connor Fyfe’s latest single is quite the belter. The Bellshill teenager is following up his previous release ‘Truth Be Told’.

It is a furious blues jam of squalling guitar, emotional vocals and a solid backbeat – if anything this sounds like Hendrix if he hailed from Lanarkshire.

The nearest current reference is probably Tom McGuire – by God the boy Fyfe has a raw talent for sure…

The production here is crafty, cleverly double-tracking the guitar and keeping the vocal midway in the mix. It is infectious, timeless, rock n roll – just a crying shame that the planned tour dates have had to be shelved for the moment because this guy deserves to be heard in sweaty, heaving venues.
