Edwyn returns

Edwyn Collins is to release an album entitled ‘Home Again’ on September 17, which will be proceeded by the single ‘You’ll Never Know’ a week earlier – it’s his first since his recovery from brain surgery in 2004 and since the 2002 release Dr Syntax. from Sutherland to Edinburgh

Luke SutherlandFormer Long Fin Killie leader Luke Sutherland, now award-nominated novelist, will have his first stage play premiered at the Edinburgh festival. Venus As A Boy, his third book, has been adapted for the stage by the National Theatre of Scotland. The production has already toured the north of Scotland (Sutherland’s childhood home), taking in Hoy, Kirkwall, Stromness and Ullapool, but will gain a rather higher profile in its 3-week Fringe stint which precedes its performance at London’s Soho Theatre in September. more… “from Sutherland to Edinburgh”

friends of Foe

King CreosoteDavid Mackenzie’s latest film, Hallam Foe, will be in cinemas nationwide from Friday the 31st of August. It stars Jamie Bell and Sophia Myles,with a suppoprting cast including Scottish favourites Maurice Roëves and Ewen Bremner. The similarly star-studded soundtrack album will appear 2 weeks before, on 13th August – and features Domino-related artists King Creosote, Sons And Daughters, Future Pilot AKA, Franz Ferdinand, James Yorkston And The Athletes, Bill Wells Trio, Cinema & Woodbine plus Clinic, Hood and Movietone.
