Casino Thieves have toured themselves silly and gained an army of loyal fans in the process. Listening to The Quiet Road Home, maybe they’ve had a stage-side sonic analyst, deconstructing each and every song and paying close attention to which tracks are really affecting the audience.
Casino Thieves have the belligerence and flair of primetime Manic Street Preachers. This comes across particularly on tracks such as ‘Licence To Kill’ and ‘Exit Or Entrance’, each of which have hooks galore and choruses which linger long in the memory.
The soundscapes on display here will swallow you up completely if you are not careful. It’s one of those rare sets you could fill an entire day with and still wish for more.
