Jejune Stars? I refuse to believe it. Conor Oberst’s magnificent band releases the latest single from The People’s Key, an album that is supposedly the last for the Omaha outfit.
This track bursts in with some intense drums that quickly makes way for the creeping guitar line that accompanies Oberst’s trademark vocals that have parted ways with humanistic lyrics in favour of lines of a mystical nature.
The People’s Key is filled to the brim with excellent tracks and what is, arguably some of Bright Eyes’ best work. However, there is a few tracks that should’ve been put forward for release before this one.
