This is a review-hoohoo – of Boohoohoo’s latest single, out now.
Throughout a mere 2m42s BHH bounce, twist and grind their considerable gears. Like Bronksi Beat on Buckfast (you can use that one!) this pounds, with a manic and gravity-defying vocal from Liz. Things start with a massive bass list, a squelchy synth hook and straight down the line drumbeat. This has been in the live set for a while and is good choice to move things up a notch – to like warp speed!
In case you did not know, BHH are Scotland’s tear it up pop sensation of the moment, following up the peerless BHH EP with this banger. It may be about pyromania, sexual tension or simply burning the dinner, whatever, but it is contagious, like a very large and possibly life-changing epidemic. There are even a couple of power chords…
BHH could change your life, it has certainly changed Betty’s. Released on the very amazing LNFG label, BM cannot wait for the debut-hoohoo album. It this does not make you move some part of your anatomy you are clinically deed, call the Co-op funeral dept now…
