This is a brief and violent 2m 30s of rifferama and hearty choruses.
This four piece band are from various bits of highland Scotland but are now convened in Glasgow. They have headlined at King Tuts and announced a London show in June.
Bloodlines are really going for it on this one, starting with crashing drums, ramping up the chorus (“Old Mother’s Misery”) while the verse references “towering pylons”, with a sotto voce breakdown in the middle.
Shades of Biffy, possibly The Manics at their most rampant, even At The Drive-in (and that is high praise indeed!), very well worked out instrumentation – and it rocks! Lovely bass plucks in between the riffs and as you all know readers, Betty does love a good (bass) pluck, missus. This one could ignite – and BM cannot wait to see it performed live.
Ones to watch!
